Lexus is moving towards an electric future. The automaker recently unveiled its all-new Lexus LF-Z Electrified concept car, a battery-operated electric vehicle that combines performance, style, and innovative technologies to move the industry forward.
The LF-Z Electrified concept balances performance and efficiency with an optimally placed battery and electric motors, enabling a fun-to-drive experience. It also comes with a new four-wheel driving force control technology called “DIRECT4.” This technology provides a superior, flexible driving performance.
On the outside, this Lexus concept looks to the future. Its sculpted lines and sleep roofline hint at its power. Inside, the “Tazuna” cockpit is open and minimalist, embodying the Lexus human-centred approach to design.
The LF-Z Electrified has a seamless design and a panoramic roof that uses long plates of glass to bring a feeling of openness to the cabin. All of the gauges, touch display, and other informational functions — including the augmented reality head-up display — are grouped in a single location, making it easy to get all vital information you need in a single glance.
Following the lead of the LF-Z Electrified, Lexus plans to produce 20 new or improved models by 2025, including more than 10 electrified options. This includes plug-in hybrid (PHEVs), hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), and battery electric vehicles (BEVs).

When you want power and luxury, look no further than the 2022 Lexus IS 500 F SPORT Performance — the Lexus brand’s most recent contribution to the luxury sport sedan segment.
The IS 500 is the first model in the F SPORT Performance lineup. This sport sedan comes equipped with a naturally aspirated 5.0-litre V8 engine that roars to life with the push of a button. It has a maximum output of 472 horsepower and 395 lb-ft of torque.
Along with this muscular powertrain, the IS 500 also boasts a quad exhaust system that has dual stacked tail pipes to amplify the V8 engine. It also comes with an eight-speed Sport Direct Shift automatic transmission and drive mode select with Sport and Sport S+ driving modes.
The IS 500 also has a unique look, with black badging on the side to distinguish it from regular F SPORT models. The design also includes sculpted centre character lines on the hood, as well as standard and exclusive 19-inch split-10-spoke Enkei alloy wheels. This model comes standard with the Lexus Safety System+ 2.5, which recently launched in the 2021 IS.
The 2022 Lexus IS 500 F SPORT Performance is expected to arrive in dealerships this fall, and we look forward to offering it right here at Lexus Downtown in Toronto.
Building on the impressive Lexus Safety System+ 2.0 — offered in several vehicles available now in our showroom — LSS+ 2.5 improves a winning formula by adding even more functionality. The popular Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert systems are now standard, giving you more confidence on the highway and when backing out of parking spaces.
The Pre-Collision System is re-tuned to better recognize hazards when making left turns, and a new camera and radar improve detection at longer ranges. All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control now allows you to keep pace with the vehicle ahead of you at a wider range of speeds, including complete stops.
Lexus Safety System+ 2.5 also makes enhancements to Lane Tracing Assist that improve recognition of road lines and edges. Road Sign Assist and Intelligent High Beams are also included, making LSS+ 2.5 one of the most comprehensive safety suites around.
Lexus Safety System+ 2.5 is available now in the bold new 2021 Lexus IS. To see what the Lexus IS and LSS+ 2.5 can offer you, schedule a test drive at Lexus Downtown in Toronto.
Lexus is adding even more refinement to its lineup. The luxury carmaker recently introduced its refreshed 2021 Lexus LS 500 and LS 500h sedan, raising the bar in this competitive segment.
For the 2021 model year, this Lexus flagship sedan has enhanced its driving experience. The suspension and chassis have both been tuned for a smoother, more comfortable ride.
The car’s powertrain options have undergone some changes, too. For instance, the 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 engine that comes on the LS 500 has a newly designed piston to help reduce emissions and engine noise. The LS 500h hybrid system also uses its battery in a new way to deliver more powerful acceleration.
Lexus also made subtle improvements inside the 2021 LS 500’s cabin. With elevated comfort in mind, the armrests, seat cushions, and centre console armrest have all received additional foam cushioning. The front seats also have new seat springs and thicker cushioning material, allowing you to feel comfortable for even longer.
The new 12.3-inch touch screen gives you easy visibility so you can utilize standard Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ smartphone integration. Every LS model also comes compatible with the Lexus App, which is an all-new feature for 2021.
Every Lexus luxury SUV is amazing straight from the factory, but you can make yours even better with genuine Lexus accessories. Read on to learn about some of the extra features you could add to your ride for the new year.

The Royal Ontario Museum
Whether you stay home shielding or plan on exploring the city, the Royal Ontario Museum is a solid option for you. It also has time-based tickets, so there are only a certain number of visitors at any given time. Toronto Zoo Scenic Safari
If your family is missing its trips to the zoo, then this activity might be the right choice for you. New seasons are a time for fresh starts, which is why so many people spring-clean their houses. Why not do the same for your vehicle? These spring car cleaning tips will have your ride looking and smelling like new.
Wash the exterior. From road salt coatings to icy windshields,
winter can cause lasting damage to your car’s exterior if grime is left in
place too long. That’s why it’s important to give your car a thorough scrubbing
when the weather warms up. Clean your car’s undercarriage thoroughly and make
sure you wash your tires with tire-cleaning spray. Finally, dry your car off
with a microfiber cloth to keep it streak-free.
Clean out your car’s cabin. Litter can really
accumulate inside your car when the weather’s cold. Now that it’s warmer out,
get rid of any trash that has piled up in the cabin. While you’re at it, give
the interior a vacuum as well.
Remember your floor mats. Whether it’s leftover road
salt or dried mud from weekend adventures, your car’s floor mats have seen a
lot of dirt this winter. Give them some extra attention by removing them and
cleaning them. If your mats are carpeted, use a carpet cleaner to get them
looking like new. If you have rubber mats, wipe them with warm, soapy water and
hose them off.
With these cleaning tips, you and your ride will be off to a great start for spring. You’ll also want to get caught up on maintenance — and the service department here at Lexus Downtown is here to help!
