Lexus Introduces All-New 2022 LX 600 SUV

Lexus LX 600, Toronto, ON

The all-new 2022 Lexus LX 600 has arrived, and it offers the peak of luxury combined with the off-road prowess you want available at a moment’s notice. This large flagship SUV is expected to appear on dealership lots in the first quarter of 2022. Until then, get to know more about this redesigned model.

Performance

With its new GA-F platform, reduced overall weight, and updated engine, the LX is more capable than ever. Under the hood is a twin-turbocharged 3.5-litre V6 rated at 409 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to Electric Power Steering, the new Lexus LX offers worry-free off-road performance. Meanwhile, the Active Height Control suspension provides a smooth ride on the road by adjusting the height of the SUV through shock absorbers.

Exceptionally Refined

Outside of performance, the 2022 Lexus LX is also exceptionally refined — inside and out. The spindle grille has been revised to make a statement as you arrive. In the back, the word “LEXUS” is spelled out between the taillights, replacing the standard “L” logo and giving the SUV a more modern look. For a sportier appearance, you can choose the first-ever LX F SPORT model that includes 22-inch forged aluminum wheels, an F mesh design spindle grille, interior design elements, and more thrilling performance features.

Interior

Inside, the updates come in the form of comfort. Across the lineup, you can choose a five-seat three-row configuration or a seven-seat three-row setup for the interior. New this year is the third row’s ability to fold flat into the floor to open up more cargo room. An additional update is with the VIP Executive model that offers a four-seat configuration with footrests for the two rear seats.

These are just some of the highlights of the all-new 2022 Lexus LX. To learn more, contact our team of associates at Lexus Downtown in Toronto, Ontario.

Take the Takumi Cat Challenge with Lexus Canada

At first glance, it might not seem like origami and luxury vehicles have a lot in common. Look closer at Lexus design, though, and the similarities become clear.

As part of the luxury brand’s plan to help keep people entertained as they stay at home, Lexus Takumi Masters — the artisans behind the brand’s attention to detail — have put together the Lexus Takumi Cat Challenge.

You can complete this challenge at the Lexus Canada website. To do so, you’ll need to fold your own origami cat just like the Lexus Takumi Masters do. While this might seem easy enough to do if you can take your time, these masters have to fold the model in under 90 seconds — and with their non-dominant hand. They also aren’t allowed to fold on a flat surface, instead folding the paper in the air.

“We call them Takumi Cats, because they’re used to test the dexterity of our Lexus Takumi Masters — the artisans who are trusted with the most critical processes when we build a Lexus vehicle,” said Melanie Testani, the Brand Manager for Lexus Canada. “We thought Canadians looking to learn a new skill while at home might enjoy testing their dexterity in the same way as our most accomplished craftspeople.”

If you’re planning on taking this challenge, Lexus Downtown wishes you good luck — and we will try and master the Takumi Cat with you!

Try These Spring Car Cleaning Tips

Spring Car Cleaning | Toronto, ON

New seasons are a time for fresh starts, which is why so many people spring-clean their houses. Why not do the same for your vehicle? These spring car cleaning tips will have your ride looking and smelling like new.

Wash the exterior. From road salt coatings to icy windshields, winter can cause lasting damage to your car’s exterior if grime is left in place too long. That’s why it’s important to give your car a thorough scrubbing when the weather warms up. Clean your car’s undercarriage thoroughly and make sure you wash your tires with tire-cleaning spray. Finally, dry your car off with a microfiber cloth to keep it streak-free.

Clean out your car’s cabin. Litter can really accumulate inside your car when the weather’s cold. Now that it’s warmer out, get rid of any trash that has piled up in the cabin. While you’re at it, give the interior a vacuum as well.

Remember your floor mats. Whether it’s leftover road salt or dried mud from weekend adventures, your car’s floor mats have seen a lot of dirt this winter. Give them some extra attention by removing them and cleaning them. If your mats are carpeted, use a carpet cleaner to get them looking like new. If you have rubber mats, wipe them with warm, soapy water and hose them off.

With these cleaning tips, you and your ride will be off to a great start for spring. You’ll also want to get caught up on maintenance — and the service department here at Lexus Downtown is here to help!
