Lexus is moving towards an electric future. The automaker recently unveiled its all-new Lexus LF-Z Electrified concept car, a battery-operated electric vehicle that combines performance, style, and innovative technologies to move the industry forward.
The LF-Z Electrified concept balances performance and efficiency with an optimally placed battery and electric motors, enabling a fun-to-drive experience. It also comes with a new four-wheel driving force control technology called “DIRECT4.” This technology provides a superior, flexible driving performance.
On the outside, this Lexus concept looks to the future. Its sculpted lines and sleep roofline hint at its power. Inside, the “Tazuna” cockpit is open and minimalist, embodying the Lexus human-centred approach to design.
The LF-Z Electrified has a seamless design and a panoramic roof that uses long plates of glass to bring a feeling of openness to the cabin. All of the gauges, touch display, and other informational functions — including the augmented reality head-up display — are grouped in a single location, making it easy to get all vital information you need in a single glance.
Following the lead of the LF-Z Electrified, Lexus plans to produce 20 new or improved models by 2025, including more than 10 electrified options. This includes plug-in hybrid (PHEVs), hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), and battery electric vehicles (BEVs).

Lexus is adding even more refinement to its lineup. The luxury carmaker recently introduced its refreshed 2021 Lexus LS 500 and LS 500h sedan, raising the bar in this competitive segment.
For the 2021 model year, this Lexus flagship sedan has enhanced its driving experience. The suspension and chassis have both been tuned for a smoother, more comfortable ride.
The car’s powertrain options have undergone some changes, too. For instance, the 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 engine that comes on the LS 500 has a newly designed piston to help reduce emissions and engine noise. The LS 500h hybrid system also uses its battery in a new way to deliver more powerful acceleration.
Lexus also made subtle improvements inside the 2021 LS 500’s cabin. With elevated comfort in mind, the armrests, seat cushions, and centre console armrest have all received additional foam cushioning. The front seats also have new seat springs and thicker cushioning material, allowing you to feel comfortable for even longer.
The new 12.3-inch touch screen gives you easy visibility so you can utilize standard Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ smartphone integration. Every LS model also comes compatible with the Lexus App, which is an all-new feature for 2021.
